Finally, lunch. The father's prepared the fillings and then everyone made the sandwiches in their different groups. While people ate, I made a traditional Halloween Jack o'lantern with help from the children.

With everyone's help, it turned out to be a really great day. I hope everyone had as much fun as the club leaders. Happy halloween for the 31st.
最後に、お昼のメニューのサンドウィッチをおやじ達が、トマトやキュウリ、レタス、ハムなどを切り、みんなで一緒に作りました。出来あがったサンドウィッチを食べてるときに、ジャコランタン作りの実演をしました。初めて見る子も多く、ワクワクした目でみんな楽しそうに覗き込んでいました。
とっても楽しい1日を過ごすことが出来ました。これからは本当のハロウィンの日、10月31日を楽しみましょう！！

After a group photo, it was time for the games.

The first game was 'Trick or treating', a traditional game played especially in America. Chiho 'sensei', Naoko 'sensei' and Mai 'sensei' waited behind 3 different doors dotted around the kindergarten. The children, in their costumes, knocked on a door and if they said "Trick or Treat" they were given sweets and cookies. Judging by the smiles and laughter, this was the highlight of the day for many of the children. I would like to say a special thank you to the kindergarten and nursery for providing extra sweets for the children (something I forgot to say to everyone on the day).

Next up was 'Apple Bobbing'. The aim of the game is to use only your mouth to pick up a small apple floating in a tub of water (thank you Abe-chan-man for providing the tubs). It's easy to bite on the stalk and pick up the apple, but becomes more and more difficult as the stalk is cut shorter and shorter. Some children wanted to play the easy 'full length stalk way', but others begged for the stalk to be cut shorter. All in all everyone had fun and the apples tasted great!!
次に、伝統的なゲームの『Trick or Treat』で遊びました。千穂先生、尚子先生、麻衣先生が3つの部屋で待っていて、子供達がノックして部屋に入り、『Trick or Treat』と英語で言って、おかしをもらっていました。子供達の今日一番の笑顔が見られ本当によかったです。（おかしのおかげかな！？）
次に、もう一つの伝統的なゲーム『Apple bobbing』で遊びました。『Apple bobbing』とは、姫リンゴを水に浮かべ、手を使わずにリンゴの枝を口で取るゲームで、大きい子は枝を短く切り難しくして楽しみました。
最後にみんなでかわいいいリンゴをおいしくいただきました。

On Sunday, October 24th, 37 families turned up for the Father's Club's Halloween Party. With 133 participants, it was decided to have a party outside, and with Ryuhei 'Sunshine' Kobayashi as club president, nobody worried and the rain predictably stayed away. We all made costumes and then played two traditional halloween games, Trick or Treating and Apple bobbing, before lunch of sandwiches and fried chicken.

People arrived around 10 o'clock and, with everyone's help, the tables and chairs were soon set up and ready. First, we made our costumes. We used construction paper and rubber bands for the masks and black rubbish bags for the costumes. Lots of people added their own personal touch to the costumes by making flowers, hair bands, belts etc. It wasn't long before lots of very cute witches, black cats, skeletons, mummies and bats were running around the tables. It was great to see people improvising and having fun.
初ハロウィンパーティーに37家族133名の方が参加してくれました。
最初は、画用紙と輪ゴムを使ってマスクを作り、黒いゴミ袋でコスチュームを作りました。たくさんの人がパーソナル・タッチ（自分流）の考えで花やヘアバンドを作って着飾っていました。あっと言う間にたくさんの小さな魔女、黒猫、ガイコツ、ミイラ、こうもり達が集まり、うれしそうに走りまわっていました。

最後の締めくくりは、やっぱり集合写真！！最高に楽しい２日間でとても良い思い出になりました。キャンプを通して色々手伝ってくれた方々、本当にありがとうございましたm(__)m最高の達成感を味わうことができました。これからもみんなでおやじの会を盛り上げていきましょう！

２日目は、朝７時に起床してカートンドックorホットドックを作って食べました。ウィンナーがパリパリで最高でした。デザートには、フルーツヨーグルトを作りみんなで食べました。
その後、みんなで「ぞっき山」へＧｏ！片道約15分の道のりをがんばって歩き、その疲れも見せぬまま子供達は元気に遊んでいました。遊んだあとは、おやつのアイスを食べ、また園に戻りました。
